Betty asks…
Deep Red, Burgundy, Grey, and Silver Wedding Decoration advice please!
We have decided to allow my father to help pay for everything. The colours we have chosen are now a combination of deep red and burgundy with subtle shades of grey and silver fluttering here and there.
We have given a lot of thought for the centrepieces and will be having white table cloths with burgundy squares of fabric on top. We will put a square mirror over that with vases and deep red rocks on the bottom filled with water, a red rose, a candle and wrap the vase with grey tulle. On the tables will be favours in boxes that hold red velvet cakes and topped again with a grey tulle pom.
What exactly must you decorate for optimal beauty? Please help us as I am not sure I have the right ideas what to do.

Thomas asks…
Sisters wedding is in 4 weeks!
The wedding is all sorted my sister and I (the one that's getting married) and my Mum are organising the reception. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas for decorations and wedding centrepieces for the tables?
The colour theme is dark red & silver. Help would be much appreciated! Thanks.
Grahame answers:
For decorations, think of placing a dozen red roses on the tables with silver ornamentation. Try candles and flower tops set afloat in bowls. Set up different sizes and shapes of tables, keeping your colour palette in mind. Use pin stripe fabrics on round tables and tiny polka dots on square ones. Set your tables apart, each row or corner with its own identity and place some flowers in tall opaque vases, float others in short bowls. Also use candlelights or chandeliers or strung twinkle lights in the themed colours.
If the venue allows look at seating only four to a table instead of eight or ten to make it more intimate.
These are just some ideas that may be of help.

Donna asks…
Should I buy flowers wholesale via the internet for their wedding?
My daughter is getting married this summer and I want to make as many of the centrepieces and bouquets as possible. I am looking for some advice about going online and saving money. Is this a good way to purchase or should I go to my local stockists. Any help about problems and quality would be really appreciated.
Kim answers:
There are many company's that are offering this service online and we would suggest that it is worth checking and comparing their services before looking at the price. Some of the more reputable sellers will have testimonials from customers and a telephone number to make contact just to make sure. We tend to check out our local suppliers and explain what we need and then haggle on price. We found this works better because you can make any changes easier and have more control overall.
I hope that helps x
