Which Wedding Ring & Size!!

A white gold wedding ring is so cool when compared to ordinary yellow gold. It adds class and distinction and of course is different to what many wedded couples choose.

White gold is easily purchased from retailers both on and offline. You can have a plain band which is very minimalist and looks extremely sophisticated or go for something that is more elaborate such as diamonds or a sculpted appearance.

As with most rings you can get matched pairs for the groom and bride which is both romantic and very practical. One of the great things about white gold is it looks extremely expensive without having to be. Many big retailers have a fantastic range at very competitive prices. You also can compare all the prices online to find the best deal. Check out our reviews here

Remember you do need to know the right size (see the video below for an easy way to find out) so if you do buy online it will a good idea to try one on in a local shop beforehand. The shop may also be able to match the prices online but if not at least you may give them the opportunity by asking. White gold wedding rings are also beautiful in appearance and the bride may want diamond insets which will create a stunning and classy looking ring.

However with rings sometimes less is more and the look you get with just a plain band looks understated and simply elegant on the finger especially when set against nice clothes. Always remember you are not just going to wear it when you get married.

The mobile phone company T Mobile has created their wedding interpretation using lookalike characters. There is Prince William Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and many others. It is great fun and well worth a view.

Wedding and Mothers Day Shopping

The main consideration for many couples getting married is how much it is all going to cost. Things can add up very quickly and hundreds turns into thousands. It can be a headache knowing where to go to get best value for your money.

At My Wedding Planning Ideas we have looked at a number of different companies that offer differing services and products. We would not consider promoting them unless we felt they matched the standards of service, value and expectations fully.

One such company we are very happy to mention has a huge catalogue of products and great customer service.
They are called Confetti and are well worth a visit.

Check out some of the excellent promotions they have at the moment, including items that will be ideal for Mothers Day on the the 3rd April 2011

Embarrassing Wedding Moment

It is good to see that things that do not always go to plan, still do not upset the day.

In the UK the former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott agreed to give away the bride of his favourite restaurant owner on their wedding day. During the ceremony John Prescott’s phone went off with one of mobile phones loudest ring tones. Highly embarrassed he fumbled around in his pockets to turn it off, but not until it had caught everyone’s attention.

Everyone saw the funny side and the wedding continued without any further problems.

Mr Prescott is well known for a number of controversial difficult moments including punching a member of the public that threw an egg at him and having an affair with his secretary.

Let us know if you have any good wedding stories.
